When We Fight Together We Win!

After the first shutdown in April, workers were shocked at how bad conditions were inside the factory. So we came together and submitted a complaint to OSHA, the federal government agency that enforces safety rules in workplaces.

OSHA launched an investigation – forcing Kumho to address safety issues related to COVID-19.

Now, Kumho has to fix several safety issues. Kumho has told OSHA that it will:

  • Take temperatures at the gate by June 1
  • Prohibit group gatherings inside and outside the plant
  • Make disinfecting spray bottles and wipes available at all work stations by May 22
  • Hand sanitizer available and accessible in 30 locations throughout the facility by May 15
  • Proper distribution of masks by supervisors

We must stick together to keep each other safe and hold management accountable.

Kumho’s failed response to COVID and their history of dangerous accidents show how little they care about workers’ health and safety. In fact, Kumho is the ONLY tire company in the U.S. that is a “Severe Violator” of our health and safety laws.

Let us know if you see something unsafe at work. We can work together to report issues & expose dangerous conditions.
