American Roots, American Heroes: Maine clothing maker now making medical supplies

When American Roots owner Ben Waxman asked his workers, members of USW Local 366, who would be willing to keep coming to work to make medical masks and other critically needed supplies, every single hand went up. When he needed help converting the Maine sew room into socially distanced work stations, laid-off IATSE stage hands showed up on a Saturday to build it. From the frontlines: Nurse shows us that courage is #USWMade

Kim Mitter of USW Local 9620 is a nurse at Robertwood Johnson Hospital in Somerset, N.J. She was physically and mentally exhausted after working long shifts for weeks but took some time to share with us what it's like working on the frontlines of the #Covid19 pandemic. PPE is still desperately needed. Please watch and share to show sister Kim and all our workers still reporting for duty that we have their backs! #Service+Solidarity #USWCares
